I'm surprised they kept the lvl20 cap with the squish but at the same time I always wanted blizz to extend it at least to lvl40 or 60 so I guess it's fair now. Previously, a starter account could bank up to 10 levels of xp which would be converted to actual character levels if the account went fully active. With the level squish, any banked xp appears to have been lost.
