Also the following are default configurations, if you want to made changes to them, you can use the keys above to help you customize your own configuration.

Brutality: Unlike all finishing moves above, Brutality is a finishing combo in which player must perform by doing a button sequence simply by pressing a series of attack. You should hear Shao Kahn say the name of your character and remind you that you had just give mercy to your opponent.
Giving Mercy to an opponent allowed him or her to resume fight with very little health. After you beat your opponent the second time; however, you would be allow to perform Animality or any finishing manuvers you desire.
Note: You will only get five seconds to perform a finishing moves two seconds in the Sega Genesis version , if after your seconds are up and you couldn't get the command to work, your dizzy opponent will get spare and fall instantly down to the ground clean.
If you do get the finishing move to work, the screen will turn dark and an action of the finishing manuver will take place. Of all the finishing moves mention above, the pit fatality is the only finisher that doesn't turn the screen dark since it serve more as a knocked out move instead. Close: Standing next to opponent, the same distance in which you could hit or combo your opponent.
This distance is used the most when performing a Pit fatality. Sweep Distance: About two feet away from opponent, it's the distance where you can't hit your opponent but could still foot sweep them. An example of this is Liu Kang's animality. Outside Sweep: About three to four feet away from opponent, the distance where you can jump over your opponent to the opposite side as well as the distance where you can't foot sweet your opponent.
An example of this is Nightwolf's friendship. Jump Distance: The same distance where you can forward flip jump to get near your opponent but not to the other side. An example of this is Scorpion's Toasty fatality. Half Screen: About one feet outside jump distance.
You should still not be near your opponent if you make a forward flip jump at this distance. An example of this is Sonya's Purple Bubble fatality. Far Away: The distance as far away from the opponent as possible even outside of Half Screen. For this distance, it would have to at least take you two forward flip jumps to reach near your opponent. An example of this is Mileena's Nail Spit fatality. Anywhere: Any of the above distances.
This applies to babality the most as they could be perform near or away from opponent. Note 2: I won't list the endings so you must play and find those out for yourself.
